The next Ignition event is an evening with Syd Little, one half the comedy duo “Little & Large” - the small half! - on Sunday September 5th as part of the Stroud Fringe Festival. A great evening of comedy, music and testimony as Syd tells his amazing life story. Syd will be supported by the popular Painswick-based “Beacon Gospel Choir”. The ballroom of the Sub Rooms was packed and we had to use the balcony - what a great turnout for what turned out to be a fantastic evening with Graham Kendrick, Terl Bryant (percussion) and Simon Dennis (bass). Many people saw Graham in a completely different light as he sang songs which told stories from the Gospels, most of which were either new to the audience or hadn’t been heard for many decades! The feedback has been excellent.

We are delighted to announce that Terl Bryant, former drummer of popular Christian band, Iona, and founder of Psalm Drummers, will be guest percussionist at Graham Kendrick’s concert in Stroud on May 25th. Graham will also be joined by bass player, Simon Dennis for a 3 man line-up.
After nearly 18 months recharging our batteries Ignition returns with two great events for 2010.
In May Graham Kendrick returns to Stroud for a concert with a difference - a concert not of worship material, but of songs that tell stories, paint scenes on the imagination and bring to life characters and dramas from the gospels. The Acoustic Gospels is a national tour featuring Graham on guitar/vocals (with Simon Dennis on bass) and we are priviledged to host him on May 25th at Stroud Subscription Rooms.
And in September Syd Little, half of the comedy duo, Little & Large - the small half! - will be in Stroud to perform a gospel set as part of the Stroud Fringe Festival, but sponsored by Ignition. More details will follow shortly.
