Ignition are pleased to be supporting and event managing the Free Family Fun Day at Stratford Park Bandstand on Sunday May 27th from 2.30pm to 5pm. Hosted by PSALMS and other local community organisations, the afternoon will include music from award-winning international singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna & band, who will be joined on stage by local favourites The Rebel Cheesecutters and ventriloquist Keiran Powell, winners of the 2012 Door’s Undiscovered Youth Talent Contest.
There will be a Sports Arena, Human Table Football, interactive arts & crafts, bouncy castles, sumo wrestling, parachute games, badge making, craft activities, face & nail painting, balloon modelling, cream teas & cakes, BBQ, Superscoops ice creams and a ‘Tiddlywinks’ Under 5s play area. They will something for all the family!
The Sports Arena will include Tug-of-War, Water Balloon Volleyball, Badminton Challenge, Croquet, Skittles, Giant Jenga & Chess and Sack Races.
Following on from the very successful Family Fun Days organised by Psalms inside the Leisure Centre, this event will bring the original Family Fun Day concept outside into the park with the addition of live music and more activities in order to bring the community together to celebrate the 2 key events of the summer – the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee.
The event is being organised by PSALMS and supported by Ignition, Tiddlywinks, Activate, Cainscross Messy Church, Churches Together in Stroud , Diocese of Gloucester and Everyone Active as well as Stroud District Council who have awarded us a significant grant to help us make this Family Fun Day bigger and better than ever.
The Stratford Park miniature Railway will also be running for a small charge.
If wet the event will move inside the Leisure Centre.
