The next Ignition event is an evening with Syd Little, one half the comedy duo “Little & Large” - the small half! - on Sunday September 5th as part of the Stroud Fringe Festival. A great evening of comedy, music and testimony as Syd tells his amazing life story. Syd will be supported by the popular Painswick-based “Beacon Gospel Choir”. The ballroom of the Sub Rooms was packed and we had to use the balcony - what a great turnout for what turned out to be a fantastic evening with Graham Kendrick, Terl Bryant (percussion) and Simon Dennis (bass). Many people saw Graham in a completely different light as he sang songs which told stories from the Gospels, most of which were either new to the audience or hadn’t been heard for many decades! The feedback has been excellent.
Many thanks to all who helped make the evening such a success, especially Kay Tanner and her team at the Sub Rooms. And thanks to you for coming.
